The excitement of every Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco event will reach a worldwide audience in 2018. Series officials announced on Wednesday that the full 11-race schedule will be broadcast live online.
Race fans unable to attend certain events will be able to watch each race through a variety of forms including pay-per-view models and subscription models.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer race fans who can’t get to our events the opportunity to watch all of our races live,” said Southern Super Series Promoter Tim Bryant. “Having an online audience for all of our events is a great way for our racers, tracks and partners to gain additional exposure as well.”
Speed51.com, a long-time partner of the Southern Super Series, will return to broadcast many of the races in 2018. Among those races will be the prestigious Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway to kick off the new season. Race fans will be able to watch the race via a pay-per-view broadcast on Speed51 TV.
Other big events such as the North/South Super Late Model Challenge at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville (TN), the final Blizzard Series race at Five Flags Speedway (FL) and the Mobile 300 will also be broadcast live on Speed51.com.
“Speed51 has been involved with the Southern Super Series since its inception and its something we are very proud of,” said Bob Dillner, Executive Director for Speed51 and its properties. “Tim and his staff know everyone cannot make it to every event and this allows people to follow it and become fans of the series and its racers. It never replaces the feeling of being there, but it adds so much more exposure for the series.”
Additional broadcast information for Southern Super Series events will be announced soon.
