Dutilly Traveling Across Florida for So. Super Series Debut

Jesse Dutilly has won a lot of Super Late Model races in the State of Florida, but never has he won a race at Five Flags Speedway (FL).  That is primarily because he’s never been to the Pensacola, Florida race track; however, that will change this Friday night when Dutilly makes his Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco debut at Five Flags.

“My expectation level is to start and finish the race,” Dutilly said.  “We have not raced there so far and this is my first time going. In the end, I would just like to be able to run all laps and evaluate where we’re at.”

Dutilly has his work cut out for him against the likes of Bubba Pollard, Stephen Nasse and Jeff Choquette, but with his success so far this season he feels like he has a shot.

Dutilly has been competing in the Sunshine State Super Late Model Challenge Series and has won five of the six races this season. With a break in the schedule he feels this is a perfect opportunity to make a trip to Five Flags.

“We don’t race again until September so this is a good opportunity for us to be able to go to this race, have a month to work on our cars and get prepped up for the second half of our season.,” Dutilly stated.

While Dutilly may be a native of the Sunshine State, the Pensacola turf is located far away from his home turf. In fact, Dutilly’s hometown of Bradenton is located over seven-and-a-half hours away from Pensacola.

“I don’t feel like going to Pensacola for us is like racing in our home state being it’s over seven hours away,” he said.  “I could drive to Georgia in five hours and race out of state, but it is in Florida and I’m excited to go and I can’t wait for this weekend.”

Regardless of the extra travel time within his home state to make the trip to Five Flags Speedway, Dutilly and his team look forward to their first trip to Five Flags Speedway and their Southern Super Series debut. They know it’s a team effort and Dutilly emphasized that this season wouldn’t be possible without the people who help him every week.

“It’s a team sport and I would like to thank Integrity Transmissions, Carbone Motorsports FLF Race Cars, Five Star Bodies, Swift Springs, Southern Racing Fuels and all my guys that help me get to the race track.”

Race fans who can’t make the long haul with Dutilly to watch him make his first Southern Super Series can watch all the action via a live pay-per-view video stream on Speed51.com.  The broadcast is available for purchase by clicking here.
