PENSACOLA, FL - Series and track officials with the ASA Southern Super Series and New Smyrna Speedway have announced the season finale for the Southern Super Series will take place at the half-mile oval in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
The event will be the 60th Annual Florida Governor’s Cup 200 on November 15th, which has long been a staple to Super Late Model racing and the heritage to racing in Florida. This will be the second time the series ends its season at New Smyrna, but the first time in the Governor’s Cup. Champion Racing Association, which has officiated the event in recent years, will assist with the race as before. Additionally, the Gov Cup will also serve as the Championship Race for the track's own Sunbelt Series.
The Governor’s Cup 200 will be the 14th race of the season and the 13th points-paying race of the season. A new points-paying structure will be announced in the coming days. The ASA Southern Super Series will run twice at New Smyrna with the first coming in the Clyde Hart Memorial with ASA STARS National Tour, slated for February 11, 2025.
