With the victory Bubba Pollard earns his fourth-straight win at SpeedFest at Cordele Motor Speedway (GA). Pollard has 39 career wins with the Southern Super Series and seven at Cordele Motor Speedway.
Chase Elliott didn’t have much fun in practice and time trials. The former SSS winner made the most of his weekend by winning the Hard Charger award after going from 18th to fifth. We hope to see Elliott at a few more races this season.
Cole Butcher led the most laps in 2024 in the ASA Southern Super Series. He might be on his way to doing that again after he logged 111 laps out front at SpeedFest. Butcher has now led over 500 laps in his career.
Hudson Bulger became the 53rd driver to win an Engine Builder Pole award with the ASA Southern Super Series. What was special for Bulger is that he won the pole for the JEGS Pro Late Model race before the main event. It’s only the second time a driver has won both poles on the same weekend.
Gavan Boschele was the top rookie with a fourth-place run. Carson Brown was sixth marking the second highest rookie run. Dylan Fetcho placed 10th and was the third-best rookie. It’s going to be an impressive rookie race this season.
Active SSS Streaks
- Bubba Pollard has now won a race in all 13 ASA Southern Super Series seasons. He is the only driver to do that.
- Billy VanMetter finished better than he qualified for the 16th-straight Southern Super Series event.
- It was the 10th straight race in which the Anthony Campi racing team has scored a top 10 finish dating back to last season with champion Casey Roderick. Campi’s team actually got two top 10 runs with Colby Howard and Carson Brown.
- Stephen Nasse posted a top 10 run marking the 13th straight season he’s done so with the Southern Super Series. He will look to win a race and extend his streak to eight-straight seasons with a win.
