ASA Southern Super Series Set for Three Rounds in April

April is a busy month for the ASA Southern Super Series. After already hosting three events in 2024 the heart of this season's schedule will take place across a 170-mile triangle in the deep south between Montgomery, Mobile, and Pensacola. For the first time since 2018, the series will run three events in one month.

“We are ready to have a busy month in our neck of the woods,” said Southern Super Series General Manager Tim Bryant. “We look forward to our returns to Montgomery and Mobile as well as the second stop for our series at Five Flags Speedway. We are looking forward to the combination race with the Show Me the Money Series and maybe we will have some drivers run both races.”

The series will return to Montgomery Motor Speedway (AL) on Saturday, April 13th for the Rumble by the River 125. This will be the 17th career stop for the Southern Super Series at Montgomery. It also marks the series’ first race at Montgomery since 2022.

It will be an extra special treat for fans who make their way to Montgomery as the race weekend will include the first Super-Pro Late Model doubleheader at Montgomery with the tracks Show Me the Money series.

It will be a quick two off weeks before the tradition continues as the annual Gulf Coast Doubleheader returns to the Southern Super Series schedule. For the first time since 2017 the Five Flags Speedway, Mobile International Speedway double is ready to commence. The series will run 100-lap races at both venues, first at Five Flags on Friday, April 26th, and then on Saturday, April 27th.

“We are extremely excited to return the traditional Five Flags - Mobile double back to the schedule,” added Bryant. “Eddie Shoemaker has done a fabulous job in bringing the joy and energy back to Mobile and we are proud to bring the ASA brand, with the Southern Super Series back across the bay.”

The roots of the double go back to the first season of the Southern Super Series in 2013 and before that back into the historic All Pro Days where it first commenced in July of 1983.

All three races offer a $10,000 paycheck to the winner as the series has been awarding the winner the minimum of $10,000 since the start of the 2021 season.
