Pollard Streaking: Bubba Pollard is seeking his fourth-straight SpeedFest win at Cordele Motor Speedway. The Peach State driver has been lights out at Central Georgia track having won six of the last 10 races he’s run there. Pollard is also seeking his third-straight Southern Super Series win at this track. Pollard has won six of the 15 races the Southern Super Series have run at Cordele.
Roderick Plans: We are kinda waiting to see where Casey Roderick will pop up after his historic run in 2024 with Anthony Campi Racing in association with Platinum Motorsports. Roderick could be there or he could be in hibernation for the early part of the season. Needless to say if teams are looking for a driver he could be available.
ASA Double Again?: We kind of wonder if what Roderick pulled off will be topped? The ability to win both the ASA STARS National Tour title and the ASA Southern Super Series title was a valiant effort. Early on the indications of those running for the National Crown could make this harder.
What Can Craig Do?: Matt Craig could be in line for a Southern Super Series title after finishing second in points each of the last two years. Craig scored a win at Montgomery last year and he had five overall top five finishes.
Stephen Nasse in 2025: Fresh off his best finish in the Snowball Derby Stephen Nasse sets his sights on another race he’s not won, SpeedFest. Now we are talking about the Super Late Model portion of the race as he did win the Pro Late Model / JEGS portion a year ago and that was for a second time.
Waiting on the Next Super Late Model Winner: Michael Hinde, Jake Finch, Jett Noland. It’s hard to figure who it will be or someone else. We will see new winners in 2025, but banking on who is going to be a challenge. Dylan Fetcho has announced they will run the balance of the schedule adding in another fast driver each week.
Record Number of Tracks: With stops at Cordele, New Smyrna, Five Flags, Mobile, Montgomery, Nashville, Hickory, and Newport it will be a record number of different tracks in a single season. We also could have a record number of laps raced in a season with overtime and extra distances. We will have to wait and see to be sure.
